What We Do

PS Youth Outreach Center, Inc. (PS Youth) is a community-based 501 (C)(3)non-profit organization serving at-risk youth who reside in Broward County. We offer a wide array of services designed to meet the needs of youth and families who are faced with one or more barriers. 

We work with various agencies in order to efficiently carry out our mission, to assist at-risk youth between the ages of 5-22 by working to proactively reduce juvenile delinquency and the mistreatment of our youth.  

With the essential tools, the youth hold the world in their hands.

AFTER-SCHOOL SERVICES FOR 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR 

Looking for an effective and reliable after-school program for your child?

PS Youth is your resource!

Our after-school program offers: a safe and fun environment,  homework assistance, free snacks, and quality supervision from 2pm - 6:30pm on school days. We also provide one-on-one tutoring in Math and Reading for K-12 students.

Our curriculum entails: research-based computer-assisted learning programs which are tailored to meet the Sunshine States Standards and fun and educational activities. All tutors are screened and qualified to teach respective subjects taught.

What's New!

We Are Expanding Our Services

PS Youth is pleased to announce that we will be making more of an effort to provide more services to teens in the community.

Some of such services include:

• College Admission Services - We will be providing seminars and small-classes to parents and students which will provide them with the ammunition they need to successfully prepare for the college admission process. (More details will be posted soon.)

• Teen Night - starting in July, 2012, we will host a bi-monthly teen night where local teens (ages 13-17) will have the opportunity to party/socialize in a safe environment. (More details will be posted soon.)

We Have Moved!

Thank you so much for your patience and support. PS  Youth has successfully transitioned into our new space, 4103-4105 North State Road 7. This space (located just two bays from our previous location) allows us to serve our students much more efficiently.

We will soon announce a grand-opening for current and prospective families of PS Youth to tour our new facility!

Title 1 Schools

The list of schools that qualify for SES (Free) tutoring is now available. PS Youth is a Florida Department of Education-approved provider for the 2011-2012 school year. We specialize in one-on-one tutoring in Math and Reading. We strive to provide the most effective and flexible services to the students and families we serve. Please contact us to find out how to determine if your child is eligible for free tutoring,

PS Youth has received a rating of EXCELLENT from the Florida Department of Education for services provided during the 2010-2011 school year. We take great pride in this rating and look forward to another successful school year.

COMMUNITY RECOGNITION

PS Youth was recognized by the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) for Provider Appreciation Day!

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

PS Youth recently re-entered into a contract with Family Central. We are again an approved Family Central Provider. Children of low-income families may be eligible for after-school and tutoring services, paid for by Family Central.

SES (Free) TUTORING

PS Youth has again been approved by Florida Department of Education to provide SES (Supplemental Educational Services) to students of Broward County.
