What We Do At PS Youth

PS Youth Outreach Center, Inc. (PS Youth) is a community-based 501 (C)3 non-profit organization which directly assists children, youth, and their families in need.  We offer a wide array of services which are specifically designed to meet the needs of youth and families who are faced with one or more barriers. 

We work with various agencies in order to efficiently carry out our mission, to assist under-privileged youth between the ages of 5-22 by working to proactively reduce juvenile delinquency and the mistreatment of our youth.  

With the essential tools, the youth hold the world in their hands.

PS Youth is seeking youth volunteers!!

Are you a high school student (preferably 11th or 12th grader) with good grades and great moral standing? Do you want to help younger students to excel? Earn 40 hours or more of community service hours with PS Youth - while benefiting from services such as: college preparation, career development/leadership academy, academic assistance, peer counseling, and much more!

Employment Opportunities

PS Youth is seeking additional tutors. Tutors must hold at least a Bachelor's degree, experience working with children of diverse populations preferred. Tutors must be computer literate and versed in the subject they will be teaching. Tutoring assignments may range from kindergarten to 12th grade. PS Youth provides individual tutoring (one-on-one) and small group tutoring (4 or less students per tutor). Duties require flexibility (evenings and weekends required) and may also involve some travel. All employees/tutors must pass a Level 2 background check before working for PS Youth.

Reminder to PS Youth Parents/Students:

In emergency situations, PS Youth abides by the guidance of the School Board of Broward County. Therefore, any School Board-issued notices regarding County-wide closures/evacuations will also apply to the operations of PS Youth.   

We hope this does not pose any inconvenience.
